Smoking is not allowed in the rooms. Ironing, the use of heating pads, electric heaters or the burning of candles is forbidden in the rooms for fire safety reasons.

In case of fire you will be warned by a loud siren via our fire alarm system. Leave the house via one of the staircases. The escape routes are marked.

In our wellness area, outside the massage room, you will find a water dispenser providing fresh water purified by spring stones.
The coffee bar in our lobby is available for you to use free of charge from 7 am to 5 pm. Here you will find hot drinks such as tea, hot chocolate and speciality coffees.

The digital guest card, which you will receive automatically by email upon arrival, offers you many benefits for your holiday in Oberhof. These include free travel on the city bus, various discounts on admission fees and free participation in guided hikes.
The guest card is also part of the Thüringer Wald Card, which entitles you to many further benefits. You will find full details of all services in the activity guide. The guest card is valid from the day of arrival up to and including the day of departure. We would be happy to advise you at our reception.
Just 200 metres away, opposite our hotel, you will find the H2Oberhof Wellness & Water Park.
With your guest card, you’ll receive a discount on standard admission prices.
An indoor and outdoor pool, as well as several whirlpools, invite you to take a dip. In summer, the large sunbathing lawn attracts sun-seekers. Children will love the slides and the dry play area. The highlight is the sauna world with different saunas and the sauna garden.

If you have booked our half-board package, we look forward to welcoming you for dinner between 6 pm and 8 pm. We offer a daily-changing three-course menu with a choice of four main courses (Thuringian speciality, light cuisine, vegetarian or vegan), served alongside our popular starter and dessert buffet.
If you have not yet booked half-board, you can do so at any time at our reception. We always strive to create a varied menu for you. Should we ever fail to meet your tastes, please let us know. We will find a solution. You are also welcome to have a second helping of the dishes on offer if you are still hungry. Please also inform us if you have any allergies or intolerances. Please note, however, that we do not offer certified dietary meals.
We are happy to prepare a packed lunch for you to take with you for € 9 per person. Please order this the evening before at reception or via your tablet in your room.
Our drying room, equipped with a heated cloakroom and boot dryers, is available for drying wet hiking and ski clothing.
Please contact reception regarding storage for sports equipment.
Pets are welcome at our ’Haus Sonnenhügel’ by prior arrangement, at a charge of € 15 per night. Please be considerate of other guests, as many people are afraid of animals or have an allergy to pet hair.
Dogs are not permitted in our restaurants.
Dog owners are fully liable for any mess or damage caused by their pet.
Our restaurant, with its various dining areas, is open every day. The evening meal for our half-board guests is served daily from 6 pm to 8 pm. In summer, weather permitting, we open our sun terrace for you.
We also recommend the ‘Restaurant Bergvagabund’ at our Hotel Thüringenschanze. It offers a varied all-you-can-eat buffet featuring Thuringian specialities, classic meat and fish dishes, stone-baked pizza, vegetarian options and a selection of desserts, including soft drinks and hot beverages from the self-service counter.
Oberhof is a state-approved resort and therefore subject to visitor‘s tax.The visitors’ tax is € 3.00 per day for adults and € 1.50 per day for children (aged 7–16).
